Other Courses Offered
After teaching many students all three levels of the RCM Pedagogy Certificate Program since it's inception in 2005, Esther has been granted a second BCRMTA discipline as Professional Pedagogy Instructor.
Pedagogy students range from young students just starting to teach a few beginners, to ARCT Performer graduates and BMus grads who desire further training in pedagogy.
Lessons are offered in person or online anywhere in the world.
About
Esther Loewen Neufeld graduated with her ARCT Performers while studying with Glen Geary. She continued pedagogical studies with Dr. Cecilia McLean in Vancouver, and summer school with Winifred Scott Wood at the Victoria Conservatory of Music. She takes every opportunity for further professional development through master classes and workshops as well as maintaining her performing skills, ensuring that her students receive high quality piano and pedagogy instruction.
Esther joined the BCRMTA in 1980, first with Vancouver branch, then Chilliwack, and currently South Fraser Branch where she has been a member since 1986. Esther has served as Branch President, Student Teacher Sponsor, Provincial Council Rep, and Senior Festival Convener.
Esther maintains a vibrant successful music studio where she enjoys teaching students from age 6 to adult, beginners to diploma level Performers and Teachers.
Esther's desire for her students is to instill a love of music for life.
